Brian, a seasoned professional in microfinance and banking, boasts over 8 years of impactful leadership within Uganda’s microfinance industry and SACCOs. As the founder and managing director of Vine Microfinance Limited, he has demonstrated expertise in expanding financial services to the unbanked population. Previously, Brian served as the General Manager at Zion Microfinance, contributing significantly to policy formulation, portfolio growth, and overall business administration. His rich experience also includes roles at Pride Microfinance, Finca Uganda, Five Talents International, and Lyamujungu SACCO Limited. Brian holds an MBA (executive) and is a Certified Financial Analyst from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI).
Marion holds a dual role as a Board member and the legal advisor for the company. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in legal practice, she is deeply committed to human rights activism and advancing financial inclusion for women and youth. Marion’s professional journey includes collaborations with esteemed legal institutions such as Wamimbi Jude Advocates, Waluku Mooli & Co Advocates, FIDA Uganda, and Legal Aid of Uganda law society. Presently, she serves as a lawyer & partner at Naafi & Wanume Co Advocates.
Derrick is dedicated to improving operational efficiency through talent acquisition, nurturing, performance management, and organizational development. As the Senior Operations Manager at AgriBORA (Kenya), he plays a crucial role in the company. Derrick has previously contributed his expertise to well-known institutions such as Awamo GmbH, Blooman International, Netbiz, and the Uganda Bureau of Statistics. His educational background includes a Master of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Systems Networking & Telecommunications, both obtained from Makerere University.
